A Classic Car Tour and Picnic through the West Sussex and Hampshire countryside with a BYO picnic lunch.
Starting at the Ballard School the tour proceeded via a scenic route to lunch in a garden in Itchen Abbas, then on to tea at the Jim Stokes Workshops, Waterlooville before finishing at The Tithe Barn, Old Ditcham Park with the traditional Hog Roast.
This event raised £915.00 going to National Gardens Scheme for Down House visit, £1830.00 to JSW to be donated to St Wilfrid’s Hospice in memory of Hilary Stokes who passed away during Covid, £215 to Sussex Wildlife Trust to help replant the Kelp forests off the Sussex Coast (to assist in mitigating our carbon emissions from the event, as Kelp is a great source of carbon capture). And finally Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance will get at least £3,900 and could be as high at £5000 once we have taken the raffle, auction, donations and any profit the event makes. (Ali Green)
